Trussville's new Olive Garden will open its doors for business at 4 p.m. Monday, May 23. The restaurant is the first Tuscan Farmhouse-style Olive Gardens to open in Jefferson County and will feature a stone exterior, exposed wood beams, terra cotta tile and other authentic Italian imports inside.
The new restaurant will create 165 new jobs and will have space for 246 people. David Slone has been named general manager and brings 10 years of experience with Olive Garden to the table. He was most recently the general manager of the Olive Garden at 3450 Galleria Circle in Birmingham.
“At the Trussville Olive Garden, there is an atmosphere of Italian hospitality," Slone said. “We delight our guests with a genuine Italian dining experience through fresh, flavorful food, paired with a great glass of wine.”
The restaurant will serve only dinner during its opening week, May 23 through May 27. Monday through Thursday it will be open from 4-10 p.m. and Friday will be open from 4-11 p.m. Olive Garden will begin serving lunch Saturday, May 28 at 11 a.m.
“Trussville’s strong sense of community coupled with its close proximity to Birmingham make it the ideal location for the newest member of Olive Garden’s family of local restaurants,” said Dan Kiernan, executive vice president of operations for Olive Garden.
The new Olive Garden is located at 3555 Roosevelt Blvd. in Trussville.
