Corner, AL (WBRC)- Two robbery suspects were arrested in Jefferson County after deputies say they returned to the scene of the crime.

Deputies say the owner of Crossroads Convenience Store in Corner on Warrior-Jasper Road was robbed at gunpoint Friday night. One of the suspects showed the store owner a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The owner handed over the money, and the suspects escaped in a small black car.

The store owner called the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office again on Sunday to report the same suspects had returned and he believed they would try to rob the store again. The suspects left without robbing the store before deputies arrived to the scene.

Investigators say they arrested Jarrod Lane Kellum, from Empire, and Zachary Lee Somerset, from Fultondale, a short time later on Fieldstown Road.

Deputies say both men confessed during questioning. They each face a first degree robbery charge with a bond of $20,000.
